July 4th Show

Hi people. My band performed live once more for Nutley's July 4th fireworks festival. The band did good - me, not so much. It couldn't have gone more wrong. I was pumped, but nervous, but just when our first song was beginning I saw my ex death glaring me with her crazy suicidal friend who vandalized my house. Now, people get nervous because they're afraid of what others will say. I instantly felt like shit because, knowing the people they are, they're just insulting me/us the entire time because they're jerks. So, I get nervous and blow the first song out my ass. Real bad. First note I hit I realize how loud I am, wonder "Why the fuck am I blaring?" and realize the idiot DJ is controlling my volume. I can't tell my guitarists to raise their volume because of the extremely small stage which is ladened with wires, AND my amp is peaking, which means half my notes never reach my speakers because the signal was too distorted from the piece of shit PA. Yay. Fortunately my sister told the fat lard off, especially because she thinks she has shit on our vocalist. Nope. But, her damage was still done. I don't know what her problem is. She cheated on me and made me out to be the bad guy somehow, then comes to make snide comments for my band and leaves right after.  I don't know when she became so fucked up.  Oh well, at least she got fat and I got to watch the fireworks with a cute girl. =) Oh, and getting offered a paying gig is pretty awesome too. I give kudos to the rest of the band for that one. Til next time...

Cake and bitches,
Pat

The List

As of recent, my friends have been talking about 'the list,' which in their language means 'the list of desirable traits for an ideal partner,' basically. We discuss it and criticize each other, but our lists are >50% the same. Anyways, here's mine, which is growing day by day. What's yours?

My ideal woman:

  • uses proper grammar. Shortcuts are okay sometimes, but no tlkin likke thyz
  • is fashionable. I'm not saying she needs to be anorexic or supermodel-like or even wear expensive clothes. I just like a girl that takes care of herself. But skinny jeans are a must. It's not 1999.
  • is intelligent.
  • is honest. And this includes disagreeing with me. I really would never want to date a (mental) clone of myself. That would be boring and only leave me ignorant. I also need to feel comfortable with them. I knew that two girls I was with had cheated on me before they would admit it. On the flip side of that coin, I also had an ex that only had one or two female friends - the rest were guys but I was perfectly okay with it because she didn't have to flirt with every single one of them.
  • lets me call her out on her wrongs (and hopefully calls me out on mine).
  • is slightly nerdy.
  • loves animals (especially dogs).
  • is a feminist, not a feminazi.
  • gets along with her family.
  • is a team-player.
  • works hard and doesn't bitch about it, cheat, or expect the 'who you know' to do everything for her.
  • likes sitting by me and criticizing people.
  • is sociable with my friends.
  • loves art.
  • loves music.
  • likes being lazy at times.
Hmm. That's all for now. I'll think of some more things. Bai.
